Art Exhibition
Wehrmuehle x Maryam Keyhani x Rebirth Studios
For the annual art exhibition at WEHRMUELE, Biesenthal - we created oversized shirts made from rescued men’s workwear – one of the most discarded product categories worldwide. Together with artist Maryam Keyhani and her iconic oversized hat, we staged a choreography that highlighted the impact of fashion waste beyond the classical fashion industry.

DESIGN PROCESS
Our design process was meant to highlight the scale of waste beyond the traditional fashion industry. The installation Afterwork creates a deliberate contradiction: inviting people to sit on grass while resting on an oversized shirt, stitched together from countless discarded business shirts. The artwork was carefully sewn in-house at our Berlin studio.
MATERIAL AND PRODUCTIOn
The piece was crafted from shirts collected by Berliner Stadtreinigung, a non-profit organization overwhelmed with textiles every day. By working with them, we sought to support their mission while transforming symbols of routine and conformity into a collective space for pause and reflection.
