rebirthOS™

The fashion industry generates an astonishing 13 million tons of waste annually.

To put this into perspective, it's equivalent to the weight of an empty Burj Khalifa multiplied by 24,000! Discussions about textile waste typically focus on fast fashion and the disposal of clothes at the end of their life cycle. However, there is a significant issue that emerges earlier in the manufacturing process, referred to as pre-consumer waste. This term describes all the waste materials generated within the supply chain during the production of a product.

Unlike post-consumer waste, pre-consumer waste has a higher possibility to be diverted from a landfill or an incinerator, as the fabric or the garment is essentially brand new (unlike post-consumer waste), despite having one or more repairable defects. These materials are ideally suited for small batch productions, including company merchandise and on-demand products. Moreover, there are numerous production facilities throughout Europe and beyond that have spare capacity available.

RebirthOS™ strategically connects these non-virgin materials with available production capacities and the demand for small-batch productions, thereby transforming textile waste into valuable resources. This initiative not only addresses waste management but also promotes sustainable practices in the textile industry.
